Kaylie Peterson, Founder/President
Kaylie is a Texas teacher who is committed to making a change in education. She desires to help educators feel confident in their teaching abilities and grow them to be even better. She founded Growing Education in a nation wide teacher shortage after seeing the desperate need for educators to feel supported, chosen, and cheered for. She works tirelessly to ensure that schools, teachers, and the education system are made better because the need for amazing teachers are too important to give up on. She is a voice of change in an ever breaking world.
Alix Rivera, Vice President
Alix is a Texas teacher dedicated to the growth of herself and others in the field of educator. She strives to help all teachers feel emboldened, encourages, and values as they face the evolving needs of students today. She believes in the impact of every teacher, and she know that supported teachers can foster an environment of growth for all.
Myrna Perez, Secretary
Myrna is a Texas educator who is compassionate about education and the issues that are teachers are facing. She wants teachers to feel optimistic, supported, and feel that they have someone in their corner to face issues that arise. She have been in education for 16 years (14 in the classroom, 2 as an instructional coach. During her time as a teacher, she had the privilege to be a mentor for college students in which she truly enjoyed. “Being able to watch them grow as teachers and leaders, has been an amazing experience. Having them believe in themselves and someone to advocate for them is important”. She wants to be a stepping stone for fostering teachers and equipping them with the tools that will help them through their career.
